The Meaning and Therapeutic Role of Sound in Psychodrama

Abstract

|
This study attempted to examine the meaning and role of sound so that sound can be properly used in psychodrama, and based on this, to find out the sound phenomenon and therapeutic role in psychodrama. The results are as follows. First, sound affects not only the rational and emotional parts, but also the brain and the human body. Based on this, it is possible to help positive physiological changes in the human body by using sound energy, size, height, and tone. Second, the principle of sound healing includes the principle of resonance, the principle of rhythm, the principle of pitch and tone, and the principle of energy. The actions of sound in the psychodrama phenomenon include sounds to increase spontaneity, sounds of gestures and emotions, sounds for emotional purification and behavior thirst, resistance and blockage, gestures in trauma, and sounds through breathing. In these various situations, it can be therapeutically helped through the act of meeting the protagonist using the principle of resonance, the principle of rhythm, and the principle of pitch and tone.
